Memoirs of a little girl- Last part!

This was the purpose of the door slits and gaps!!! Since our grandfather used to take us with him everywhere he went, we used to enact them all!!( He never took us to a beauty parlor of course, but still we tried the make up articles on him!!😉)

Our grandfather “created” currency for us (that was strictly legal you see😇😁!) and we recreated the bank scenario in our home. The concept of exchanging the currency through the mysterious “hole/slit” was very exciting indeed! We would endlessly exchange pieces of paper.

Sometimes, the so called “currency” would become bus tickets. In that age, the jingling bag full of coins was so mesmerizing🤩. Imitating our Super Star and Prabhudeva we will go about shouting the bus stops and calling potential passengers to our bus. But the only available passenger was our great grandmother who was ready to travel to the world’s ends!!

With small sized cutlery we used to prepare delicious “sambar”, “rasam” even “papad”. And our grandparents had no other go but to “eat” all of them and feel FULL!!

During one of our cooking sprees, we were on a secret mission🐱‍👤 once- we picked up all sorts of ingredients stealthily from the kitchen, moving in and out like a cat😼. Influenced by Powerpuff girls, we were preparing our own “powerpuff” mix. Like the Professor, we also dropped an ingredient by mistake- dried red chillies! And, for the whole day, our hands emanated fire and power and our eyes emanated water!

Applying henna was the only way to make us sit in one place! It is applied during the night time so that our grandmother can get relieved of taking us to the rest room😅. But the real tantrum starts the next day only! Out of the fear that our henna may get spoiled, we will become westerners… you don’t get the point? We eat with spoons, rinse our mouth by fetching water in a mug and for the rest room @#$%^& (censored for sake of the readers)!

It is really sad to see those two people, who gave us the happiest of all times are now dependent on us. But I thank the God Almighty for giving us the opportunity of looking after them during their second childhood!
